4G and 10G Fibre Channel Transceivers

The SO-SFP-4GFC transceiver family are small form factor pluggable modules for bi-directional serial optical data communications such as 4x/2x/1x Fibre Channel and 1000BASE Ethernet. The modules are hot pluggable and digital diagnostic functions are available via a I2C serial bus specified in the SFP MSA SFF-8472.

Ethernet and 10G Ethernet Transceivers SmartOptic's Ethernet transceivers offer a wide range of different form factors as GBIC, SFP, XFP, XPAK, X2, XENPAK. All transceiver fully comply to existing MSAs and enhanced versions regarding CWDM and DWDM are available. Smartoptics DWDM transceivers can be combined with optical amplifiers to further extend transmission distance.

Gigabit Ethernet CWDM SFP transceivers:
- 23 dB for 80 km transmission
- 30 dB for 120 km transmission
- 36 dB for 160 km transmission
- 40 dB for 200 km transmission

SDH/SONET Transceivers The SO-SFP-MRD transceiver family are small form factor pluggable modules. Multirate characteristics allow the module to transmit data-stream with data-rates starting from 155 Mbps up to 2.67 Gbps. Typical protocols are STM-16FEC/OC-48FEC, STM-16/OC-48, 2G Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, STM-4/OC-12, DVB-ASI, ESCON and STM-1/OC-3.
