The connector also uses V-groove mechanical splice principals and therefore the use of an epoxy is not required for the termination of the connector.

Using this onsite assembly optical connector, it is possible to improve the flexibility of optical wiring design as well as reducing the time required for fibre termination. The FAST series connectors are already a popular solution for optical wiring inside buildings and floors for LAN & CCTV applications and with the expansion of FTTH, is already proving itself to be the connector of choice by incumbents, municipalities, utilities & Using self-supporting towers with wood leg members and top radome, this innovative solution provides French installers with a sustainable approach to ease new wireless cell site acceptance while enhancing mobile operators’ brand image.

“Wood & Tower” is compliant with the latest design codes and norms for wireless cell site towers, such as Eurocode 1 (for wind actions), Eurocode 3 (for steel structures) and Eurocode 5 (for wood structures).

The solution is adapted to any standard equipment and accessories in compliance with telecom operators’ needs, such as access ladder, vertical cable tray, anti-falling system, anti-climbing system, lightning system, top working platform, retractable rest platform, anchors and templates.

“RFS and CGTI’ Wood & Tower solution is a sustainable approach for French installers and operators’ towering needs, that is at the same time eco-friendly and very much aesthetic“, declares Pascal Dussiau, RFS Vice President Marketing and Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “This solution uses long-lasting and widely available tree species such as larch tree or maritime pines, which allows a production out of local wood. Compared to steel manufacturing and galvanization, the use of this natural wooden resource allows for the reduction of CO2 emissions during both production and transportation. In addition to this, the design and look of this innovative solution limits the visual impact of a new site for a better landscape integration.”, concludes Dussiau.

Flatpack2 110VDC/2000 HE and Flatpack2 220VDC/2000 HE Rectifiers

http://www.astrec.com/1/post/2011/02/flatpack2-1102000-he-and-flatpack2-2202000-he-rectifiers.html

http://www.astrec.com/1/post/2011/02/flatpack2-1102000-he-and-flatpack2-2202000-he-rectifiers.html#comments

Uncategorized

  [...]

The most efficient rectifier in the industry! The sensing cable is very simple to deploy and affix to the fencing. For a single length of sensing cable, Fiber Security assigns individual zones to each camera using software parameters in the VSU, while competitors require separately wired and powered zones for each camera. Each zone can be programmed with its own warning and alarm thresholds with a total of 100 zones per sensing system, making AFL’s system the lowest installed cost option available.
Some security requirements are temporary. In these situations the ability to re-use equipment helps lower the operating costs of an organization. Fiber Security components can easily be moved for temporary needs or completely relocated. Reusable hardware and cabling make this transition easy and cost effective.

Low False Positives/Negatives
Fiber Security automatically adjusts to changing environmental conditions to reduce the amount of false positives and negatives. The self-tuning function and tuning performed during installation optimize detection capabilities while reducing the occurrence of false readings. Low rates of false alarms help ensure operator trust in the system and remove the sensory load on operators compared with constant scanning of CCTV monitors. Lowering the amount of alarms and inputs during a threat condition improves decision making during the security team’s response.

Robust and Flexible System Architecture
Fiber Security uses standard racking for VSU mounts. Cables and components are industry-proven through use by telecommunications providers world-wide. The system also significantly reduces the number of inputs to the master security system when compared to line of sight systems. Fiber Security offers an additional layer of real-time intrusion detection to enhance existing technologies and communicates with master security systems via dry contact outputs, RS232C or Ethernet.

Sabotage and Tamper Resistant
Optional armoring of cables makes them resistant to cutting. Optical couplers are environmentally protected inside industry proven splice closures, and the VSU is password protected to prevent unauthorized changing of parameters.

Real Time Intrusion Detection
The system provides a warning alarm which can be used as an initiating signal to direct a PTZ camera towards an event while the algorithm analyzes the signal. If the algorithm determines that the signals constitute an actual intrusion, the camera system is already focused on the event area for the security team to review and take action.

Easy Maintenance
Fiber Security is easy to repair and maintain. Damaged cables can be repaired by arc fusion splicers. Repair loops are designed into the initial layout to allow for field repairs with minimal splices.

Parameters can be safely stored on backup media and can be loaded onto a replacement VSU in the event of a system failure. In the first half of November 2010, the price of copper reached a new peak above USD 8,900 per ton. “The price of copper is at one of its highest peaks ever, and has more than doubled in two years*. It is bound to reach even higher, unpredictable peaks,” says Marc Kaeumle, Vice President, Transmission Lines and Wireless Indoor Solutions at RFS. “While the price of aluminum has also risen, its growth curve is much flatter and more predictable than that of copper,” he adds.

This continuous escalation of raw material costs has forced RFS to reassess the cost and price structure of its copper-based cables.

“The increase in the cost of RFS’ copper-based cables varies between 6 and 14 percent, depending on the cable type,” explains Kaeumle. “This translates into price adjustments throughout our copper-based transmission line portfolio, which includes the CELLFLEX®, RADIAFLEX®, HELIFLEX®, FLEXWELL® and RGFLEX® cables.”

“Existing quotations will be honored in accordance with their stated validity periods and copper price brackets,” adds Kaeumle. “However, contracts that include escalation clauses based on the price of copper will be reviewed, and all new offers will be based on the revised RFS transmission line price lists.”

Aluminum-based cables remain at the forefront of RFS’ strategy to help its customers better control their worldwide procurement costs while achieving best-in-class performance.

RFS' CELLFLEX® Lite corrugated aluminum cables deliver superior performance in key areas, such as return loss, attenuation, crush resistance, corrosion resistance and durability in extreme temperatures. The cables’ performance attributes have been proven in numerous tests and were recently confirmed through a series of rigorous tests conducted by China Telecommunication Technology Labs (CTTL), China's most authoritative independent laboratories. “Quite simply, the unrivalled quality and performance of RFS’ CELLFLEX and CELLFLEX Lite transmission line products is indisputable,” Kaeumle concludes.
